Crisis Support

A crisis is any situation in which you or someone you know needs urgent help.

Mental health emergencies are serious, you're not wasting anyone's time. If you need help you can go to any hospital A&E department or call 999 and ask for an ambulance.

We are not a crisis service, if you think you may act on suicidal feelings or may seriously harm yourself, you need urgent medical help.

Adults

If you, a family member or friend are in crisis and need help, please dial NHS 111 and ask for mental health crisis. You will be connected to our contact centre where trained staff will provide appropriate support and advice 24 hours a day.

Under 18s

If you are under 18 or if you are a family member of someone under 18 in crisis, Call SET CAMHS – Freephone 0800 953 0222 (Monday – Friday Between 0900-1700) Or Call NELFT Mental Health Direct: 0800 995 1000 (Out of Hours / Weekend or Bank Holidays)

Serious or life-threatening emergencies

If you or someone you know is in mental health crisis and requires serious or life threatening emergency mental or physical care, dial 999 immediately.
