Garden Open Day: A Mindful Journey Benefiting Thurrock and Brentwood Mind

As Mental Health Awareness Week approaches, we’re super excited to share an awesome event with you that’s all about boosting your mental well-being while supporting a great cause in our community.

Mark your calendars for Sunday, May 19th! Barnards Farm is throwing open its gates for a special Garden Open Day. It’s not just any garden visit – it’s a chance to chill out, connect with nature, and help out Thurrock and Brentwood Mind, our local mental health charity.

Picture this: 22 hectares of beautiful gardens and woodland waiting for you to explore. 🌳🌺 Follow a gentle stream, hang out by reflective ponds, and check out cool sculptures while you take in all the gorgeous plants and flowers.

This year, we’re all about getting moving! Studies show that being outside and active can really boost your mood and lower stress. So, come on down and enjoy the fresh air and natural beauty with us.

Lynne Morgan, CEO of Thurrock and Brentwood Mind, knows the score: “Being in nature is like magic for your mental health. With the Garden Open Day, we want to give you a space to chill out, recharge, and focus on feeling good, all while helping out an important cause.”

From May 13th to 19th, Mental Health Awareness Week is all about getting moving. We know it can be tough, so we’re here to inspire you to add some activity into your daily routine.

And that’s not all! We’ve got some awesome stalls from Thurrock and Brentwood Mind, like Stepping Stones selling their plants and the Wellbeing Group with mindful activities. Plus, you can learn more about our services while you’re here.

Feeling hungry? We’ve got you covered with tasty refreshments for sale, with all proceeds going to Thurrock and Brentwood Mind. Or bring your own picnic and kick back in the grounds while you munch.

Join us on Sunday 19th May at Barnards Farm, Brentwood Rd, West Horndon, Orsett, Brentwood CM13 3FY for a day of serenity, reflection, and well-being. Let’s come together to celebrate mental well-being and make a positive impact in the lives of those in need.
